Modern hip replacement implants are designed to function well for 15 to 20 years or longer in many patients. Longevity depends on the patient's age, body weight, activity demands, bone quality at the time of surgery, implant positioning, and adherence to follow-up care. Accurate implant placement — which robotic assistance can help support — is one of the factors that may reduce the risk of early wear or mechanical problems.

No implant carries a guaranteed lifespan. Younger patients or those with higher physical demands may reach a point where a revision procedure is necessary. Heavier body weight increases the load on the implant with every step. Regular follow-up appointments allow the surgeon to monitor the implant and the surrounding bone over time. Patients should discuss their individual circumstances — age, activity expectations, and general health — during the consultation.
